1. Are we allowed to have visitors?

Yes, visitors are allowed from [7:00] until [23:00] at night. All visitors are required to sign in at the entrance & must be received by the person they are visiting. 
 

2. Are parties and alcohol allowed at the residence?

We strictly forbid the use of any alcohol and the arranging of parties at the residence or in-front of the residence.

3. What happens in the case of a medical emergency?

We have a first aid officer in the building to assist until medical assistance arrives. The first aid officer will also be in contact with management which will also assist in any way possible.
 

4. Is cooking allowed inside the rooms?

Cooking is only allowed in the communal kitchen as cooking in rooms can cause a fire. All kitchens are outfitted with stoves, microwaves, and fridges.
 

5. Am I allowed to bring my own fridge & microwave for my room?

Yes
 

6. What about loud music & noise?

We are a residence that values a peaceful and quiet environment and therefore do not encourage any loud noise or loud music. All music needs to be turned down by [23:00].

7. When is the rent due for cash paying students & do we pay deposit?

Rent is due by the 3rd of each month. There is no deposit payable. You sign a fixed period contract and cancellation fees are payable if you give notice within this period.

8. Do NSFAS/Bursary students pay monthly rental out of their own money?

No. No rent is expected to be paid by the student until they have received their NSFAS bursary money. There will be no topup payments due by the student. 

9. How do I book a room?

Booking for 2024 opens on the 15th of July 2023. There is an admin fee payable which is necessary to secure your room for 2024.

10. Can we leave our belongings in our room during the December/January break?

Yes, but there are terms and conditions that apply, please contact the office to find out more
 

11. Where will I find the prices for 2024?

Fill in the inquiry form on the website where-after we will contact you via e-mail. Please make sure to keep an eye on your emails. You can also inquire on Whatsapp with your email address, name & surname, and your institution of study. We will then reply on email. Whatsapp us on 071 730 3482.

12. Are we Nsfas Accredited?

Yes for NWU, VUT and Pearson Institute of Higher Education

13. Can I apply if I want to pay cash or use a bursary other than NSFAS

 Yes
